O-Town Keys
Website – Update on O-Town
The next season of the TV show (MTB) has started
filming. The Boys are full into writing songs
for the new (!) album and the cameras are catching it all. Jacob was in a
studio in Orlando writing and producing some demos with our guitar player,
Billy Chapin. He also used some of the rest of the band for the background
tracks. Dan and Jacob also collaborated on a song at the same studio while Dan
was writing some tracks with Brian Cox (sp). I think that Erik was doing some
stuff in LA but I'm not fully informed about what he or Trevor were into.
I'm working with Ashley on 3 new tracks. I spent 3 days at
the boys house in Orlando writing with him while the cameras were
rolling....weird. You might have heard a little
snippet of one of them as they played some of the video from the new show on
TRL. That one is called "By Your Side". The other two are as yet untitled. The guys will continue writing
on the road during this tour so if you're staying in the hotel and there is
music coming from the room next to you, please don't call and complain! If one
of them gets on the album you will be able to watch the TV show and see them
being written. Look for the unshaven, smelly guy that looks like he's been
awake for 3 days.......that's me and I was.
As most of you know, we were scheduled to do a show in New
York City on Sep 11, and of course that show was canceled. The show was going
to be filmed for a DVD release this Christmas. Well we finally got to do the
show on Oct. 10 and it looks like we will still make the
release date of the day after Thanksgiving. The show turned
out great, and thanks to our audio wizard, Dana Cornock, it was mixed in Dolby
5.1. That means if you have a home theater system you will feel like you're
inside the music and actually at the show. If you look close you can see me
wearing a NYPD hat.
Speaking of the Britney tour. Let me tell you a little
about the configuration. We are playing in the MIDDLE of the arena, not on
Britney's stage. And the Boys will be facing the front. So that means that the people in the BACK will be closest to the
boys. The people with front or near front row tickets will only
see the boys from the back, and on the video screens. So if you have tickets in
the back be happy.....at least you can brag about seeing the best of O-town.
It's sort of like we're playing to the cheap seats.... ..I like that.
Well that’s about it. I have some new
pictures up. Yes. That is Jacob with a monkey And
that is Dan and Trevor playing duck, duck goose with some kids, I have another
FAQ almost finished, and my camera is ready for the next tour. So keep checking
back and keep looking for me in the chat room.............
