| Dog Notebooks |
| One of the projects at our dog show and the 4-H fair is a dog notebook. this is a fun way to keep track of all the different things you do with your dog and the experiences you have a long the way. Start collecting cartoons, pictures, articles, related to your dog project, your dog, your family dog experiences, dog shows, etc. If you have to write anything for school, you might want to write or draw something that relates to dogs and keep it for your notebook. (poems, stories, research, pictures of your dog, etc.) You will need: 1. a story about you and your dog (family dogs your family has had, how you got this dog, info on activites you do with your dog, how your dog reacted to coming to 4-H and other classes, experiences you've had with your dog, etc.) 2. a poster (can be very simple or complex- it's up to you) Other ideas you might want to include: 1. Any pictures of your dog (as a puppy, playing, as you train together, with your family, etc.) 2. Information about dog diseases, parasites, etc. 3. Information about grooming your dog or others 4. Your dog breed, American Kennel Club group that your dog is in, other breeds that you like and their groups. 5. American Kennel Club (AKC), dog shows, fun matches, etc. 6. Cartoons that you like related to dogs 7. Pictures cut out of magazines, newspapers, etc. 8. Information about dog careers (Leader Dogs, Service Dogs) or people careers in the dog area (vet, dog trainer, leader dog worker, etc.) 9. Information about obedience, showmanship, conformation, freestyle, agility, flyball or any other dog competition. 10. Grooming dogs 11. ANYTHING YOU WANT RELATED TO DOGS!
