Club Patches
Just Fill Out your Patch Sheet and You Could Get Some of These Patches
These are the current patches offered by the Oakland County K-9 4-H Club:

Demo and Parade Patch- Ten in any combination. Individual dog demos at class or elsewhere can be included, but must be at least three min. in length.

Team Patch- You must earn three qualifying scores (at least 850 points or more) in Team Obedience

Judging Patch- You must judge dogs five times

Steward Patch- You must steward five times

Reading Patch-
You must read at least eight books about dogs- at least 2 non-fiction, and 2 can be dog magazines. Check with Linda or Bev if in doubtabout suitability of book. Write five things you learned in each book or magazine, along with the title and author.

Dog Book Patch- You must make a dog book of at least 50 pages. Include at least 10 topics and you must show it at least once. Your second year or more, you need to add 50 pages, at least, 5 new topics and show it at least once.

Freestyle Patch- You must earn two qualifying scores (adults must earn three qualifying scores)

*Perfect Attendance Patch- Advanced members and leaders must attend at least 31 meetings and/or club events between Feb. 21, 2001 and Nov. 4, 2001; first year members must attend at least 27. Only the classes or events listed on the patch sheet will be counted in this patch! Put an X on your patch sheet by the correct date when you attend!

*Grooming Patch- You must recieve a "perfect" on grooming for your dog 12 times. 4-H member or leader to do ALL grooming on their dog for it to count (someone else may help hold the dog, that it all.) If you take your dog to a groomer or someone else does any grooming on your dog, you will not get credit for grooming until two weeks after your dog was groomed by someone else.

*Versatility Patch- You Must attend 10 meetings, pass grooming 5 times, have 1 qualifying obedience score, 1 showmanship win (with at least 4 in the class), 1 agility pass, 1 parade, 1 group demo, 1 individual demo (give a talk with or about dogs by yourself, at least three min. long), 2 visits to any nursing home/ handicap events, 1 freestyle performance, steward or judge 2 times, attend a "dog activity" you don't know about, 1 pass in one other patch, and earn three patches!

These last three patches must be earned between Feb. 21 and Nov. 4, 2001!
All other patches will carry over from year to year until earned!

Junior Leader Patch-
When you earn a Companion Dog Patch or Junior Showmanship Champion Patch, you automatically become a Junior Leader!

Teen Leader Patch- When you earn both a Companion Dog Patch and a Junior Showmanhip Champion Patch, you automatically become a Teen Leader!
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WRITING DOWN YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR EACH PATCH ON YOUR PATCH SHEET AND TURNING YOUR PATCH SHEET IN TO THE PATCH CHAIRMAN
Please keep your own personal Patch Sheet record up to date. Any requirments you earn after they are due, call the patch chairman to let her know to add it to your Patch Sheet. You must turn in your Patch Sheet in order to receive patches and awards at the Awards Banquet!
