A dismal view? Or a lack? Or question?

Read the Symbols

A sea of green
ribbons of sickly yellow
sown sun flower seeds grew with the hurt
trodden earth and trodden hearts
a waking dream, a dreaming wake
summer heat intense in it's cold
a suicidal muse reborn to something else
if the leperchaun fades away does the rainbow remain?
the elven man stands watching me from the horizon
no man is an island
but deep down everyone is feeling alone
scraping over the skin of the pond
there is always the surface no matter how much you remove
until it is all gone
The sight of the raven flies over my heart
dark and sickly and alone
a flock of egrets has flown away
did the pond grow too cold, or too dismal?
the sickly color of the ribbons
it reminds me of how sickly looking that wave of green is
if everything looks repulsive
does that mean that everything can look beautiful?

-Read between the lines if you can. Understand the meanings if you can. Read the heart written in words if you can. Read the symbols.
Dreams

For my dreams of which I hung above,
I hoped they too would be atop that which came too me.
But, one can not reach moon nor stars
if only they have their own company.

They rain down affected by the gravity
wrapping around me whilst I sleep.
But for all of my intensions pure or true,
still they lack a reality.

How am I to turn my eyes from the heavens above?
WHen they have so entangled me,
with beautiful visions of joy and love...
How could I ever foresake a dream?

They feed me not, nor keep me warm.
They offer no shelter from wind nor storm.
Alas, I feel I can forget them not
for what could I donate with out spirit or heart?

All I have is to chase my dream,
Whether satisfied, or for eternity.
At least I know that if all goes wrong,
the stars still shine for my life above.

But, I know some day I will reach my dreams
-For eventually everyone shall dorn perfect wings.
And should the skies foresake my dreams,
lacking them I can pass happily.
Verse two
"Give me wings"

give me wings so that I may pass
from the soiled earth to the rain washed clouds
give me wings so that I may rest
and see beyond what I know now

Below is all of the poem so far

Give me wings so that I may fly
so that I may see a reality of those silver lined clouds
give me wings so that I may soar
and look beyond those foggy shrouds

Give me wings so that I may pass
from the soiled earth to the rain washed clouds
give me wings so that I may rest
and see beyond what I know now
