Part 4

Hiei-chan raised his head as he finished licking off the remains of his sundae. He gave Kurama a chocolatey grin. "More sweet snow?"

Kurama rolled his eyes. "Hiei, you're a mess. I think you've had enough."

Tears began to appear in Hiei-chan's eyes. He drew in his breath to begin a loud wail.

Kurama clapped a hand over Hiei-chan's mouth. Hiei-chan bit him. He let out a startled yelp as he let go.

"MORE SWEET SNOW!!!" Hiei-chan cried.

Kurama sweatdropped. Hiei-chan was becoming even more unmanageable. "ALRIGHT! I'll order one more sundae for you, but that's it, all right? You're too hyper as it is."

Hiei-chan just beamed at him.

Kurama sighed and slid out of the booth.

The waitress blinked at Kurama. "You want ANOTHER order of the Super Duper Extra Large Triple Scoop Oreo-and-Chocolate-Chip Sundae?!"

Kurama turned red in embarrassment. "H-hai."

The girl gave him a once over. "I don't know where you put it," she said shaking her head. "I'll bring it over in a minute."

Kurama nodded and quickly made his way back to his seat.

A few minutes later, the waitress came over with the said sundae. She placed it on the table, gave Kurama a strange look, and left, muttering to herself.

Hiei-chan grinned in delight. Leaning over the table, he gave Kurama a sloppy kiss on the lips, smearing chocolate all over his face. "Arigatou, Kurama-chan!"

Kurama fell back, stunned. He lifted a trembling hand to his lips. "What did you do that for, Hiei?" he asked shakily.

Hiei-chan stopped stuffing his mouth and tilted his head to one side, a confused look on his face. "Mmmph?"

Kurama sighed. "Never mind." he told himself sternly. Taking out his handkerchief, he wiped off all the chocolate on his face.

Hiei-chan made a loud slurping sound as he finished eating his eleventh sundae. Reaching into his pocket, Kurama extracted a wad of bills and placed them on the table. At the rate Hiei was going, he was going to be bankrupt in a week.

His conscience snickered.

Kurama winced. His conscience was all too right. Oh well. Best to think about that some other time. He'd better concentrate on getting Hiei-chan out of here. He grabbed some napkins and began cleaning Hiei-chan's face. Hiei-chan stared up at him. "I want another one."

Kurama steeled himself against that LOOK. "No," he said firmly. "You've had enough."

Tears began to form in Hiei-chan's eyes.

Kurama groaned inwardly.

Hiei-chan's lip began to tremble.

"We'll be late meeting Yukina-san if you don't hurry," he lied in desperation.

Hiei-chan suddenly brightened. "We're gonna see Yukina-chan?"

Kurama began nodding earnestly as he dragged Hiei-chan out of the ice cream shoppe. "Better hurry up. You don't want her to worry, do you?"

"Please come back again!" the manager called out as they stepped through the door. He was counting the money Kurama had left, smiling in delight at the unexpectedly large sale.

Kurama waved in acknowledgement. The tips of his ears turned red. He stared ruefully down at Hiei-chan.
