I was lucky enough to be Becca's Maid-of-Honor and help her stay calm while we both went nuts with planning(I tried to surprise her, I swear!). And after neither of us got a good night's sleep we started out our day at 5am to get ready for her 10am wedding. Some timing was off, but the limos were late due to contract confusion, so by the time we got picked up we were ready to jump in. I've never heard of a wedding that got started on time or w/o something going wrong.
Once we got to the church we breathed, attatched her train, gave her last minute advice(we found that "look at Matt and follow the pastor's lead" worked quite well!), and headed down the aisle. I was so busy doing "right-together-left-together.."with all those people staring I almost forgot to smile before my picture(Thank you, Mrs. Lewis, for the reminder!). I know Becca and I were shaking, I'd never been in a wedding before, but Pastor Whitley interjected humor to remind us to breathe. It all went very well, the limo ride was cool(Matt played with the buttons in our group's of course), and the reception was fun at the Walkill Golf Club. I danced with Rusty for the first and only time, and we shared a table with Brian(Becca's bro) and his then-fiance Christina, some of the Delhi group-Jen, Mike, Craig and Annie, Craig's dad, with Travis MIA(thought it was in July).
Afterwards, the new bride and groom headed off to the NYC for the night and then flying to Disney World for the honeymoon.
