OBJECTIVES
To create and promote interest in horticulture, gardening, floral and landscape design, plant and bird life and the appreciation of the natural beauties of the land. To encourage civic beautification and roadside development. To assist in projectsfor the conservation of our natural resources. To support the objectives and projects of California Garden Clubs, Inc and National Garden Clubs, Inc. To cooperate with other agencies in furthering interests in educational areas |

PROJECTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS
Supporting our State, Regional and National Projects; CGCI Pacific Region Encourage support and appreciation of our local Parks, Arboretums and Botanical Gardens National Garden Clubs, Inc. "Let Freedom Ring" honoring our military men and women through Blue Star Memorials and Patriotic Plantings Our members also support: Anza-Borego, Arbor Day, Awards, Birds amd Butterflies, Blue Star Memorials, Civic Development/Roadside Beautification, Endangered Species, Flower Shows, Garden Therapy, Habitat for Humanity, Life memberships, NGCI Accredited Schools, National Garden Week, Penny Pines, Scholarships and Youth Gardening. Awards - OC District contributes to the CGCI G-2 Yearbook Award annually. Members are encouraged to participate in the many awards available on district, State, Regional and National Levels, Blue Star Memorial Markers are placed and surrounding area kept beautiful to honor the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces. We proudly have four markers located at:: Newland House Museum, 19820 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo Community Center, Oso-Viejo Park on Veterans Way San Clemente Community Center Dr. Howe-Waffle House,120 Civic Center Drive., Santa Ana Life memberships whether through: OC District, CGCI, Pacific Region and/or Natioanl Garden Clubs, Inc. help support college scholarships. Penny Pines donations support re-forestation and forest education in our National and Urban Forests. |
