Patterns are a series of movements used to improve coordination in tae kwon do. The following list is of patterns are of ones I know. As I advance levels, I will add to this list. Check regularly.
Four Direction Punch: White Belt, 7 movements (each side, 2 sides)
Four Direction Block: White Belt, 8 movements (each side, 2 sides)
Chon-gi: Yellow Stripe, 19 movements
Dan-gun: Yellow Belt, 21 movements
Do-san: Green Stripe, 24 movements
Whon-yo: Green Belt, 28 movements
Yo-Guck: Blue-Stripe, still learning
If you live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to be specific, Barhaven, you should consider taking
Trigger's Tae Kwon Do even if you live in Kanata, if you are thinking of seriously
commiting yourself to Tae Kwon Do, I say it IS worth the 30 minute drive to get there.
