This is where it all started... 1996. After spending ten years as Daddys Of Eden with numerous releases culminating with a signing by sony music canada. It was time for a big change. Change came in the form of splitting from the label, and starting over again....from the bottom. This album was recorded at BRULESOUND studios may-june '96. This was a direct challenge to what had just transpired in our careers. A looking back upon the good and the bad. A bitter, angst fueled record with high intensity guitars, mini moogs, found sounds, and anything we could grapple and fight with to get a refreshed approach and sound. This album finally saw the light of day when it was released on watch/universal in feb.97. It saw chart action on college radio/ new music staions and saw us tour across the country several times in support of it. The tracks here , give you an idea of what happened during those good old major label days....starting with " debit 67000".ahh thats how much we still owed... moving onto "mother of pearl" which said hang me before I listen to your b****hit anymore.. "todays horse"..a conversation I had with the publicity dept.... "reception".. try getting an answer about what the hell is happening, and why you're being put on hold ?... "the Pill"... ahh yes the pill that makes everyone happy at the pharmacy... this track was also included on the soundtrack of the canadian movie Kitchen Party.
