MAUREEN'S UPDATE
There is nothing
big scheduled for us this month. We have a wedding reception to go to labor day
weekend but that's it. We may go to the fair one evening. I'm not a big fair
goer and neither is Ed. I guess it's because we didn't go to the fair as kids
like our O'Hara cousins did. We enjoyed the pig roast and we hope all of you
enjoyed the day too. I told Ed last night that I wish we could adopt a family
from the southern coastal region where there is so much destruction. I can't
comprehend how I could handle losing a
loved one, my home and all my possessions in a matter of minutes. What a
horrible situation for all those people. The wrath of God is merciless. Ed and I
have been to New Orleans twice. We went there on our honeymoon and stayed in the
Vieux Carre' or the French Quarter. We were there again in 1998. We were
never crazy about New Orleans and I guess there will never be another New
Orleans as
we knew it.
JERRY'S
UPDATE
Yes we are now entering
the the last phase of the summer of 05.
September and October
are nature's way of getting us ready for what is to come.
As we pick our
tomatoes, peppers, beans and Pumpkins, Yes some of us have
Pumpkins , not me but some of us do, we get to enjoy the fruits of our
summer labor just a little
longer. The Pig Roast was fantastic. Lots of GOOD FOOD,
and lots and lots of
people. It was a very enjoyable day. Maureen mentioned in her
update about The O'Hara Cousins spending a lot of time at the fair.
Yes I can remember Uncle Tom going everyday, some days just
after work, and some days not going to work and spending the day
at the fair. When I say day I mean from early morning to
late at night, but he really enjoyed it.
MESSAGE
FROM TIM
Greetings, a lot has occurred
since my last update when i wrote I had successful back surgery. Well I
had to have the operation again because the disc re-herniated. This time
everything went much better with the back. Unfortunately my vocal chord
was paralyzed during anesthesia and I couldn't speak above a whisper
for 6 weeks. Miraculously, it came back one Thursday and all is well now.
Denise is almost half way thru the pregnancy and has that glow about her,
that everyone always says happens to expecting women. She is feeling well.
The due date is Dec.1 which is closer than it sounds now that July is
here. The kids are enjoying their break from school and will be coming here
to stay in a few weeks until school starts. Hopefully, the hot
weather will continue so they can enjoy the pool. The first half of June
was a sad time, remembering Mom and Dad. Even though Dad has been gone for
18 yrs, I still recall much of what happened in the days and nights before
he died. Sometimes it feels like Mom is still here and I can just call or
go over Maureen's and visit for a while. I wish now, I had gone to
visit her more than I did but I guess that's a lesson one learns the
hard way. Hope everyone has a Happy Independence Day. Stay safe and
healthy and remember, lift heavy objects with your legs.
Melanie's
report
Hi
guys, I'm so happy fall is finally here, it's been such a hot
summer, fall is my favorite time. I dyed my hair brown, so if you
see this chick that has brown hair and you think she looks like me,
chances are it is me.
Everyone here is doing well, Tony is still roofing for Boak,
Larry is back full time at the bus. Tara is fine, and Bonnie has
begun homeschool again. We put a new roof on a few days
ago, we've needed one, so that's good. I had a dream of
mom and dad a few weeks ago, they were sitting on a couch and there
was a man in a chair behind a desk, they didn't know I was
there, I was doing that hover thing I do...so anyway, they were
arguing with him over my soul. Turns out he was none other then
SATAN!!! yeah I know... creepy. They wouldn't let him
have me though, they fought for me, I was watching all this from
"above". I find it hard to believe the devil
has an office...
A much better paranormal experience was a few nights ago I was
feeling sad, while I was falling asleep I felt someone stroke my
hair back from face, I had been crying and when I felt this I said
"mommy?" and it happened again. Sometimes when I am
falling asleep I will see her face surrounded by this light, she
smiles at me and then it fades away. So she knows when we need
her and she's there, that brings so much comfort to me, as it should
to all of you. Enjoy the changing
season..(((((HUGS )))))and XXXXXKISSESXXXXX to all of you.
