We're Going IMCA Racing!
For the first time in 17 seasons, the O.K. One Stop Racing team is going IMCA racing in 2007! The team will be joining the oldest weekly racing sanctioning bodies in the nation, the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) was founded in 1915 and currently sanctions over 125 tracks across the nation. IMCA is the dominant sanction in northwest Iowa. Park Jefferson Speedway left the NASCAR sanction to join IMCA in 2006, and will continue under the IMCA banner in 2007. Sioux Speedway also became IMCA sanctioned in 2006; other area tracks running under the IMCA banner include Buena Vista Speedway in Alta, IA and Blackbird Bend Motorsports Speedway in Onawa, IA. Although he's been in an IMCA-type modified since 1997, John will be eligible to compete for the World Products IMCA Modified Rookie of the Year title. The team plans to again compete for the Park Jefferson Modified division track title in 2007, and will possibly make stops at a few other tracks throughout 2007. We also plan to participate in a couple area USMTS races.
The 2007 season will kick off with the Park Jefferson Spring Thaw on April 6-7, the two night special will feature twin $1,000 to win IMCA Modified Features on Saturday night. The following week, we hope to visit Blackbird Bend Speedway for the 2nd Annual O'Reilly USMTS CasinoOmaha Double Down Showdown on April 13-14. The schedule will include a weekly schedule at Park Jefferson.

Joining the team for the third time in 2007 is Van Drie Automotive of Sheldon, Iowa. Derwin Van Drie is a long-time business associate of O.K. One Stop and has provided the Klynsma Family with several quality used vehicles over the year. Van Drie's new location on Highway 18 East in Sheldon has allowed them to expand their offering of vehicles to also include custom Pace trailers.
