.....Down in the middle of what is known as "Old Historical Lewisburg" is one of the few old time barbershops remaining in the country and it may be the oldest barbershop in West Virginia. Because the building was spared by a fire that devestated much of Lewisburg just before the turn of the 20th Century, the shop is the oldest existing business in Lewisburg. Located in an old building that has seen a number of uses, including U.S. Post Office, the old barbershop is home to a collection of memorabilla including old time barbershop furnishings.

.....This beautiful piece is very old. Note the reflection of the shop in the mirrors.
.....But, more than a historical show place, the shop is a place where we can go to listen to the latest news, give our own take on that news, swap stories, listen to older folks talk about "old times," and just plain relax and get away from the trouble of your "own" world. Of course, it is a place to get an excellent haircut.
.....If you plan to be in the Greenbrier County Area, you need to make it a point to stop at Flanagan's. If you are from out of town, Flanagan would be pleased to have you join those good folks from around the world who have signed his guestbook.

.....This photo was made March 30, 2007 and shows Gene Flannigan and his helper Carl Helmick relaxing between haircuts.

This photo shows some of the interesting things on the wall. Note the old show advertisement.

.....This is Mr. McCoy and another regular who was visiting the shope while I was there today.
