Congratulations you are just a couple steps away from your TD spot.

First we must go over some rules, so that you know exactly what will be expected of you from us and fellow leaguers.

RULES(in no particular order of importance.. as they are all important and you will be expected to follow this guideline)

Activity:

1. You should be hosting tourneys on a regular basis.

2. We like to see TD's run 2 or more tourneys every week.

3. If for any reason you can't run the required tourneys during a given time frame please inform an admin or Htd so we know what the situation is, and that you plan on returning. We are not heartless, lol... we understand that personal/life issues may arise without your control that must be handled. But please keep us informed of your situation, or we will just assume you left, and are not returning. We consider you a part of the family, so please keep us informed. After 7 days without running and no word from you, you will be put on Involuntary vacation status and sent an email. You will not be able to play in tourneys until you contact a HTD or admin and set up to run. They will then put you back in active status. If we don't hear from you after 30 days idle, or you are put on Involuntary vacation 3 times, your td status will be removed. While on vacation, contact should be regular (about once per week, if possible) OR an estimated return date upon first contact with us.

4. Activity has two sides. Hosting tourneys, and playing in matches/tourneys. Don't spend all your time Hosting, and not participating in them or matches (You can't expect people to participate in your tourneys if you don't participate in other league play). The other side...Don't spend all your time playing and not hosting. Our members need you to be free to host when you can, and we need you as a valuable part of this league to host tourneys, and keep the members happy.

Attitude:

As a TD you will be looked upon by our members as a representative of this wonderful league. Every TD must show a good attitude toward other leaguers and staff. That does not just apply to the chat room...That also applies to every aspect of dealing with members, whether that be in IM, e-mail, phone, face to face, you name it... it should be dealt with accordingly. With the TD rights, comes great responsibility in how you act and conduct yourself while dealing with members, please use your best judgement, and your best attitude while dealing with any situations that may arise.

Respect for the Member:

Respect is a two way street. In order to get respect, you must give it in return. Almost all members look up to TD's to help them, to solve their problems, or just someone who will be there to listen to whatever they have to say. Don't look down on members.. No TD, No HTD, No Admin is better then any member. Each member is important to you, and to the operation of this league, without them we wouldn't have a league. Give and Earn the respect of others, and it will be shown to you in return.

Respect for fellow Staff:

We are all here to work as a team! TEAM... there is no I in team. Everything you do reflects on all the other staff members.. whether that be good or bad. We want you to do everything you can to help the team...but please remember that we are a team unit. Respect is easily shown, and easly given if it is shown to someone else. Some simple things that you can do to help things run smoothly.

Tourney Times:

Respect the times of other TD's tourneys, don't set up tourneys too close before or too close after other tourneys as to not conflict with having 2 TD's running at the same time. If you wish to have a tourney while another TD is running please get intouch with that TD and ask them if you can set up a tourney. Another thing also applies here: If you have plenty of tourneys under your belt, and there is another TD in the room who doesn't have that many tourneys, or that hasn't ran in awhile...please contact them and see if they would like to run one. If you have a problem with any of the staff please contact an ADMIN so we can deal with the problem. Its all about respect.. Give it, and Get it in return :)

Tournament Timers:

All sudden death tourneys are:

5 mins(total time they are allowed to be mia)
2 boots (total number of disconnects they are allowed)

All other formats:

7 mins (refer above for explination)
3 boots (refer above for explination)

You are responsible for keeping track of these times. There is a very useful timer on your Tourney Administration page (Player Boot Timer)

Tournament Formats:

Tournament formats are anything you want them to be. As long as you understand it, the members understand it, and the members wanna play it.. lol. Please make sure you understand the format, as you will probably be asked a lot of quesitons about it. For long drawn out formats, its a good idea to post the Format Rules on your rules page by clicking Customize Tournament Rules on your Tourney Administration Page.

Not following these rules:

We must emphasize that TDing is a privilege, and it is earned and kept by following the information on this guide. If some problem comes up that is not listed here, use your best judgment or contact an ADMIN/HTD if one is available for help. We want to see you succeed, and prosper in this league, and you can do that by following this guide. Should any problems arise that conflicts with this guide, actions may be taken to correct the problem which may include, but is not limited to your removal as a TD within this league.
