a lot of money who would sue me if they knew the kind of things I'm making
their creations do (*smirks evilly*) buuuuuut… they DON'T so let's keep it that
way, okay? Oooookay! (*Misato style*) Anyways, the story however, belongs to

"Heero!! Whatch out!"
Heero turned around abrubtly, dodging the Leo's attack just in
time. Duo's concerned face appeared on his monitor. He quickly swirled around
to meet up with the opponent's MS and pulverized it with a quick slash of his
sword. The MS were coming in quickly and they seemed not at all frightened by
the recently upgraded Wing Zero and Deathscythe Hell.
"Duo, retreat. Meet at rendezvous point in 38
minutes." He clicked off the screen before the confused Deathscythe pilot
could reply. He pulled out his Buster Rifle and shot right in between the swarm
of OZ's new Mobile Suits. In the midst of the confusion and exploding suits,
Heero swiftly made his escape.
After securely hiding Wing in a cave nearby, Heero wandered into
the forest towards the safehouse assigned for this new mission. But his
thoughts weren't with Duo and if he was going to make it there, but rather on
the force of the enemy's weapon. Something was different from these MS than in
other battles prior.
They felt as if…they were alive. Heero thought quietly, his face
shadowed by his usual scowl. "OZ is getting serious. Kushrenada has
something under his sleeve and if I don't uncover it, they may as well become
the rulers of the world."
"Hey, thanks goodness you're ok! You had me worried
there!" Duo's frantic yell broke through his mental submission.
"Duo, did you do what I told you?"
Duo looked at him for an instant before answering. "Oh
yeah, I put Deathscythe away in the cave alongside yours. The safety devices
are activated. But we have to come for them in at leat 3 days."
"OZ is planning to attack promtly. We'll be back sooner
than that."
Duo looked at him in a worried manner. Heero looked disoriented,
and that was very unusual. Heero was The Perferct Soldier, his mind was always
in clear condition, even in the worst of situations. Duo frowned at the thought
of something bothering Heero. It must be very important to have him act this
way.
"Heero?"
"Hn?"
"Nevermind. Im hungry, let's get home soon."
"…baka."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This isn't good! Not even you, Heero, could face OZ's new
weapons? What's gonna happen now?" Quatre asked nervously, as he fidgeted
the teacup in his hands.
"OZ's new Mobile Suits are superior in strength than what
our old mobile suits were capable of. Wing and Deathscythe alone can't stand
against them, but all Gundams together, perhaps." Heero returned codly.
"Man, if Heavyarms and Sandrock weren't damaged, we could
take on those bozos as easy as cake!" Duo pouted, putting his arms behind
his neck.
"Heero is right. OZ's new MS have increased power. Gundams
are hard to damage." Trowa stated with noted concern.
"What the hell does this mean, Yuy? Are you saying that we
have no chance against OZ now?! What kind of soldier are you?!" Wufei
protested furiousy.
Heero stared at him coldly. "The upgrade in OZ's new mobile
suits has a secret. If we uncover that secret, we have the key in how to defeat
them. The only way to…"
"Heeroooo!! Heero, are you there? I need to speak to
you!"
The shrieking female voice tore through the conversation, making
all faces frown (even Trowa's, at least slighty) except Heero, who maintained
his stoic façade. The girl entered the room and positioned herself in front of
him.
"Relena, what are you doing here?"
"Heero…" she began, cutting herself off in a brief
silence. She glanced at the others, her eyes narrowing. "May I speak to
you, in private?"
"Hn." Heero rose from his seat and showed Relena to
the backyard. The remaining pilots watched silently as they exited.
"It amazes me every time how that girl manages to find us!
I wish WE had a special intelligence division of that caliber!" Duo exclaimed,
resting his face against his hand.
The others simply nodded.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What is it, Relena? We are very busy right now."
Relena looked over to Heero, who was sitting on the steps to the
backyard next to her. It was quite a beautiful sunset, much like the ones she
had imagined sharing with Heero, like they were just then. But the feeling was
much different. She wasn't thinking about romance or daydreams. Her mind was clouded
with different matters.
"Heero, I have come here today…" she stopped, glancing
over at him. He just looked at her, expressionless. She swallowed and
continued."…because I need your help. Something terrible has happened and
I also suspect it has something to do with OZ's reinfoeced MS's."
Heero's face darkened. "How do you know about OZ's current
advances?"
"I receive news from my Intelligence Division. I have to
keep in check with current events in order to keep my kingdom safe. But I fear
that now OZ has a greater chance to take control of all of space!"
"Explain youself." Heero demanded, eyeing her
carefully.
"An item was stolen from our hand that may have to do with
the mobile suits sudden surge of power. It's hard for me to explain this and
have you understand me, it would be best if you came with me and I could show
you…" she said nervousy, as she took his hand into hers. Heero just looked
at her, but didn't take his hand back.
"OZ is most likely to attack within the next 48 hours. I
can't leave."
"Please. This will only take a second." He looked into
her eyes, noting a deep concern and even pain.
"Agreed. But I must return within the hour."
"Thank you," she smiled. They rose from the steps and
made their way out of the house. A helicopter was waiting for them. They
boarded and left.
"Hey, where are they going?!" Duo yelled out of the
place he had been hiding in, trying to eavesdrop. He ran out to the main
entrance, watching the aircraft fly away.
"She managed to snatch him away again," sighed Quatre,
folding his arms.
"Hmmph! Women!" cried Wufei.
Trowa simply nodded quietly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They landed on what seemed to be the top of a building, not too
tall. It was also part of Relena's estate. They exited the helicopter and
walked to the center. There was nothing there it seemed to Heero. But Relena
pulled a device out of her pocket at clicked on it. Heero stood motionless,
when a sudden rumble started to shake the ground. A structure emerged from
below, in the shape of a half shere, like a dome.
"What is this?" he asked, a tone of confusion in his
voice.
"This is a small planetarium that was built here a very
long time ago. It was originally placed in the house of my great, great, great
and a whole lot more of greats granduncle and was brought here later on."
The dome stopped shaking and finally stopped emerging. Relena clicked on
another button wich opened a door.
"Come in." She said, walking inside the strusture.
Heero nodded and entered.
As the door closed, they were covered in darkness. Heero
instinctively looked for walls and orientation, but then he began to see. The
room began to be lit, but not by the usual light sources. The entire dome was
shining in constellations and nebulas. Stars of all shapes and sizes shone
bright and the rich colors of the different galaxies and solar systems filled
the space. Heero looked at his surroundings in clear astonishment. He had been
raised in space, space colonies at least, but never had he seen the majesty of
space as he was seeing it now. He glanced over to Relena, who was sitting in a
very elegant chair positioned right in the middle. He walked up to her.
"Relena…" but before he could speak, she cut him off.
"Heero, a very long time ago, this same course of events
happened. Specifically 500 years ago. The forces of evil tried to conquer the
world, but from the great cosmos came the great soldiers who protected the
earth and fought for peace and justice." She clicked on another button and
a holographic image appeared in front of them. It showed an old man dressed in
typical Japanese manner, a dark blue yukata with white hakama. Heero looked at
the man and within him came an unexplicable contempt. Relena, however, eyed the
old man with eyes of love and compassion.
"This is Mistumasa Kiddo. He is my very distant granduncle.
His brother was my many-generations-grandfather. He was the founder of a
foundation called the Graude Faudation, which existed to take in orphaned children
and train them to be soldiers. The Graude foundation also possessed special
weapons wich they called "Cloths", which were given to the soldiers
to use in battle. The Foundation funded these battles, called the "Galatic
Wars" to seek outthe best soldiers in a form of elimination. I guess you
could say the tradition of the foundation has been carried on."
Heero scowled. "The Romefeller Foundation. Their interest
in the war for the independence of the colonies is just at shallow."
Relena's gaze dropped to the floor. "But, The strongest
weapon of the foundation was stolen by the evil forces. This was the sacred
Golden Cloth. Legend says that he who wears the Golden Cloth has unlimited
power."
"Relena, these are legends. These things didn't really happen."
Heero's face tightened, he was getting anxious and annoyed by Relena's
naiveness.
"No, Heero." Relena stated codly. She clicked yet
another button and a case appeared. She opened the case, and retrieved a golden
helmet. Heero marveled in its brilliance, it was clearly pure gold.
"The Golden Cloth exists. It has been hidden away here ever
since the Galactic Wars were over. Today I found out that it was somehow
stolen, but we managed to save the helmet, the most important part of the
cloth." She held the golden helmet in her arms, and clicked another
button. The picture of the old man was replaced with that of a young girl,
about Relena's age, with a starling resemblance to her. But the girl had longer
hair that fell past her waist, in a light violet hue, and was dressed in a
white gown, holding what seemed to be a staff made of gold. Her gaze was
serious, but compassive, much like Relena when she would get thoughtful.
"This was Mitsumasa Kiddo's granddaughter, Saori Kiddo.
When Mr. Kiddo died, she took over the foundation and its alliances. She was
responsible for the organization of the Galactic Wars but she abolished them.
When the golden cloth was stolen, she reunited the soldiers that followed her
for peace and justice and formed what was called "The Saints of
Athena". These soldiers fought against the eveil forces and defeated them,
bringing peace to the world once again."
Relena stepped forward, staring right into Heero. Heero slighty
twitched, she suddenly looked older, wiser. Something in her had changed.
"The time for the revival of the Saints has returned. I, Relena
Peacecraft, will take on the responsibility of bringing peace once more to this
world. I will unite the Saints and we will fight evil. Because that is my
legacy." She looked over to the picture of Saori, and sighed. The
closeness she felt towards her was remarkable. If the prophecy had become true,
then she was the new reincarnation of the goddess Athena, and her battle was
starting were Saori left off.
Heero shook his head. "Relena, you're wau in over your
head. These comments have to relevance or evidence."
Relena's face darkenend. "Heero, the reason OZ's new MS's
have such power is because Treize is using the power of the Golden Cloth. He
probably is uniting more Cloths as it is! Only that kind of power coud make
them equal to a Gundam!"
"You mean he is merging them with the MS's?"
Relena nodded. "The material the Cloths are mad eout of has
amazing energy, like the legend says, each has the power of an exploding
cosmos. But only if the user knows how to explode this cosmos. If Treize finds
out this secret, he will be unstoppable."
Heero thought for a second. Relena's words filled his head, and as crazy as everything sounded, he felt a reasoning behind everything and it actually made sense.
