Opening Night

Come celebrate the success of Richard's Ragin' Cajun Fund-raiser. With your help and the help of the OLA Community, we raised over $25,000!! We’ll have a barbecue/pot luck dinner at the Norton's (1128 Cortez Ave, Burlingame) after 6pm Mass.Please contact Carol (650) 347-6109 to let her know what you’ll bring.

Tuesday, August 31

Our planning for Opening Night(scheduled for September 12) starts this evening at 7 p.m. in the Youth Room.Our Opening Night barbecue brings people together to learn more about the 20s/30s group, our events and how they can become more involved.We’ll be planning the Mass as well as organizing the barbecue.If you cannot attend, please contact Luke Ditta (650) 348-3230 or Susan Eyler (nyiowa@aol.com) to let them know how you can help.Your ideas and assistance are appreciated!

Choir Practice at the Norton's house at 7:30 p.m. (1128 Cortez Ave, Burlingame).

Sunday, September 12

Young Adult Liturgy at 6 p.m., followed by Opening Night.

Tuesday, September 14

Join with "The Two Tribes" (Catholic and Jewish Young Adults) to discuss Forgiveness.Time and place TBA.Watch the church bulletin for info.

Thursday, September 23

Choir Practice at the Norton's house at 7:30 p.m. (1128 Cortez Ave, Burlingame).

Saturday, September 25th

Don’t stay out too late!You’ll need plenty of sleep, since you will be very busy tomorrow.

Sunday, September 26th 

**RENEW Young Adult Meeting

All participants in the Renew faithsharing program are invited to OLA’s Lower Hall from 1 - 6 pm (snacks will be served).This is a gathering of young adults (like the one recently at Mercy Center) to give feedback on the program, discuss future materials, offer ideas, etc.This is OUR OPPORTUNITY to give RENEW staff ideas to make their material pertinent to young adults. **Monday Night Footballset-up at 7pm. Immediately following Mass, we’ll set up for Monday Night Football in the gym.The more the merrier!Please plan on offering your help.

Join us and invite your family and friends to our Monday Night Football Fundraiser in the gym. Doors open at 5:00pm. Dinner will be served. FALL FEST at the University of San Francisco.A fun-filled day of fellowship with other young adults from all over the Bay area.Fall Fest includes seminars, Mass, dinner, dancing and more and runs from 9am - 11pm.The cost is $40. Sr. Christine Wilcox has accepted the position of Director of Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese of San Francisco!

A big round of applause to Betsey Terry for her years of work on our previous newsletters. Susan Winchell and Maureen Carrig are now formatting and writing the newsletter. Susan Eyler is coordinating mailing and distribution. Please contact them with your questions or ideas.
