I sit on the floor and gaze out our front door,
As I watch the whole world passing by;
Sometimes I shout, sometimes I snooze,
And sometimes just heave a big sigh.

I have been around here for a very long time,
And I'm master of all I survey;
I'm quite sure that the people here love me a lot,
For they often come to say G'day.

My mother once lived here, a long time ago
But she married and then went away;
But my Granny and Grandpop are always around,
And look after me, feed me and play.

One day, if I'm lucky, my mum will return,
And once more fill my heart with glee;
Oh! I'd be her rover, I'd lick her all over,
I'm Wicket the Shih Tzu, you see.
