Welcome to
‘Old Beginnings’
Welcome to my genealogical endeavor. As with all family
tree’s this one will never be complete and is a
definite work in progress. I have always
been fascinated with family history, however I really
began to start getting into genealogy in January of 2001. Thus here is my work
so far to date.
Most of the work here has been obtained from internet
sources and extracts from other family trees. While I am sure there are
numerous errors it is a good guide. I am attempting to verify as much of the
information I have as quick as I can (give me about 30 more years). If you have
additional information, corrections, comments, concerns, whatever…, please let
me know. If there is information on here relating to
you that you do not want to share, let me know and I will remove it. This site
is as much for you as me. If we all work together we can accomplish so much
more.
This website is by no means an accomplishment of my
own, it is more a compilation of all of our efforts. I owe thanks to so many
people who have helped me in getting starting, to include a few; Gary Kuschnereit, Carol Holt,
Barbara Byrom Driver, Roberta Byrom Abbe, Cola Sutton Tehee, Martha Byrom, and so many others. And although I have never
corresponded with him, a special thanks to Henry Harbin Byrom
– without his original manuscript written in 1940 many of us would never have
gotten as far as we have.
While most of the information presented here so far
concerns the BYROM’s and related families I am still
researching all the family lines. There
are a few listed below:
Audrey’s lines:
FLOYD, CROSS,
McDONALD, BELL, NICHOLS, SIMONDS, ROGERS, GOODWIN, NEELY,
SHAFER,
Donnie’s lines:
KRIPPENDORF, DONAHUE, JOHNSON, DILWORTH, BYROM, HILL, ARNOLD, COOKE, RODDEN, OSBURN
Our Databases
For most databases, those entries in red, mean I have identified
them and they should be in the family tree. Additional information is always
welcome. Would appreciate any help for those I have not linked. All of these
links may not be up yet, but I will get them up as soon as possible. Check back
often as I have several more to add in addition to these.
Some of the databases are quite large and may take
awhile to load.
*Database problems? – This
site is spread out across several different websites. Due to the size of some
databases and the bandwidth limitations of the servers, some databases may not
work temporarily due to exceeded space allocations. If this happens please try
again later and if you would please email and let me know which one(s) are not
working so that I may try and alleviate the problem. Thanks, Donnie
