MEMORIES OF MY AUNT FRANCES Aunt Frances was my mother's older sister and as I am the oldest of three girls, my mother often called me by her name, so I frequently identified with my Aunt Fran. She had a very generous heart and sent us toys when we were children. I especially remember the 3 bride dolls and the fabulous dresses she made for the dolls. She mailed them to us when we lived in Florida. Later, she sent me a wonderful yellow wool sweater when we lived in Newfoundland. It cheered me up more than words could say in the dark winters there. It was embroidered with my name from which my signature now comes. Aunt Fran was born May 8, 1925, in Mississippi. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. I remember that she wore a little gold medal that she had received for playing golf. I lived with her and Uncle Frank in 1970 and had great times with them and also my cousin Sue who showed me the sights in the Los Angeles area. The following is from her obit: Frances R.
