No, it can not, even though as many people believe, it is inspired word by word by GOD and is most accurate! It can not do anything to save your soul if there is not a covenant inside. Ancient Pharisees thought that there was life in scripture and they studied very hard to learn, but the real purpose of scripture isn't to purify but to testify the Son Of Man who should come. Only to believe him can one be purified.
However, many christian still believe that same things as the Pharisees did,they stll thought that the bible can purify them.
No, we believe we shall be purified by Holy Ghost, but we need the bible which contain the words of GOD, if we do not understand the bible first, how we follow the guidiance of Holy Spirit? If we seek spiritual guidiance without knowing the bible first, we shall be beguilled by evil spirits who used to pretend to be glorious angels.

No, everything is written in the bible, the Holy Ghost will only clarify the meaning of the words of GOD, He will not add or delete anything.

It is why you need a covenant. According to the covenant a Holy Ghost will be sent to you and you you have the right to ask for the minister of the Holy Ghost, the devil can not beguile you if you adhere to the covenant.
