Mrs. Verna Mae Thompson

October 19, 1914~~August 20, 2006

Her friends gathered today in a place she loved so dear.
To bid her a last farewell as we reminisced her fleeting years.
Her life was such a joy, to all who knew her well.
How many lives this lady touched no one can ever tell.

As a wife and mother her life was filled with cheer.
Her loving countenance will ever be present, to friends both far and near.
The love she had for church, her family and community,
Will long be remembered by all, though her face no more we’ll see.

With tear filled eyes and heavy hearts we lowered her in the ground.
But as the coffin left our sight we heard this loving sound.
“Come on home
Ms. Verna Mae
I’m someone you should meet.”
Then we knew,
her rest in peace,
will be at Jesus’ feet.

Farewell
Ms. Verna Mae,
We miss you.
