A Support Group for Argininosuccinic Aciduria
Thank you for visiting ASA Kids, a support group for those dealing with Argininosuccinic Aciduria. This site was developed in 1998 to allow ASA families to communicate with each other about issues related to living with ASA. The term " ASA kids" was chosen when we developed the site because we only knew of kids. Now we are seeing more adults with ASA on the site.
The stories on this sight represent individuals from around the world. Some were diagnosed as a result of newborn screening, others after showing symptoms of the disorder. As this disorder affects each person uniquely, you should not make any changes to your child's treatment without consulting your medical team.
