STEP1
First, we start in the "traditional" Circle and then the lines A,B,C,D

Added a little detail on the lips.  Added eyes, like in the front view of the base face, the eyelashes doesn't touch lines A and C (but you can do it), just remember that the edge of his/her eye touches line B.  Make a little arc above line A to make his/her eyebrow.

STEP2
Let's create the eye guide, the ears, behind line D, but below line C.  and the mouth is in the same level as the lower part of the ear, add the lowerlip (optional) just below the mouth.  The nose, it curves from line A (not in the edge) and it curves to line C where the edge of the circle and line C meets.  The chin is a horizontal line in the same level as the base of our starting circle.

STEP4
isn't it obvious that I added hair?  but as you can see, I didn't cover his eyes and eyebrows (although you can do it).

STEP5
Add detail then use a signpen (or something) then erase unwanted lines.

DONE!
