The Mass or the Faith?
What Comes First?
The great question that troubles men is: "What comes first, the chicken or the egg?" A similar question ought to trouble Catholics, though it does not. That is, what comes first, the Faith or the Mass?
Many presume that it is the Mass that comes first. Well, the Mass is in fact a very important thing, but it does NOT come first, the FAITH does.
A Catholic can have the Faith and be deprived of the Mass for that reason, as God may and has permitted it, and though it would be a great privation, he would not be in danger of losing his soul if he preserved in prayer, for God does not ask from us the impossible.
But if one should blindly seek substitutes for the Mass, one will certainly lose one’s faith by consorting with heretics and schismatics, making shipwreck of one’s faith.
For, it is not that we believe according to what we pray, but that we pray according to what we believe. Belief comes first.
If we have not the Catholic Faith, having the Catholic Mass does not benefit us. It has not benefitted the Byzantine Schismatics, as indeed it cannot.
This is a trap set by Satan, the fleshly and sentimental consolation of the false Mass to seduce one away from the True Faith.
Into this trap have fallen many: notably the Una Voce and the Society of St. Peterand other Indultists.
Into this pit of darkness, have yet another body cast themselves: the Society of St. John Mary Vianney, of Campos, Brazil.
They have convenanted with Satan and have sought concessions; they have betrayed the Faith for a simulation of the Mass, and for this their satanic toy, this mock Ecclesia Dei, they have crucified and mocked anew the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and have worshipped at the altar of Satan and his High Priest, John-Paul II, that vile and foul beast, murderer of souls.
Beware, lest you too should fall into this same satanic trap!
