Irby Hudson was born about 1752 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia and died 1806 in Hancock County, Georgia. He married Phoebe Featherstone, the daughter of Charles and Phebe Walthall Featherstone, on 4 Dec 1778 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Irby Hudson served as a private in Robert Boling's Company during the Revolutionary War. The children of Irby and Phebe Featherstone Hudson are:

Thomas Hudson was born about 1790 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, the son of Irby and Phoebe Featherstone Hudson. Irby and Phoebe moved their family to Georgia in the late 1790's and settled in Hancock County, Georgia where Thomas married Sophia Thurmond on the 20th of January 1809. Their children are:

Thomas moved his family to Coweta County, Georgia by 1832 and is mentioned in "A History of Coweta County from 1825 to 1880" by W. U Anderson, as being one of the first merchants. Sophia died about 4 Dec 1827, according to her obit, "in her 39th year of age, leaving a husband and five children to mourn her loss", and Thomas died about 1839/1840. Anderson's History of Coweta County, states on page 42, that in 1839 "Col. Thomas Hudson, a prominent citizen died this year, his age unknown or the date of his death".

Cicero Demosthenese Hudson was born on the 13th of April 1813 in Hancock County. He married on the 18th of October 1832 in Coweta County, Matilda Beadles who was born abt 1813, daughter of William and Sarah Harper Beadles. They had 11 children:

Soon after his father's death, Cicero Demasthenes and Matilda moved their family from Heard County, Georgia to Chambers County, Alabama and settled there. Cicero died 24 May 1879 and Matilda on 12 Apr 1874, both are buried in Chambers County.

Sophia Ann Hudson, was born in Jun of 1836 and died after 1900. She married John Carlos Strickland, who was born abt 1830 and died 1878, on 21 Dec 1854. Their children are:

Martin Van Buren Hudson was born on the 4th of January 1837 in Heard County, Georgia, he married Augusta Ann Drinkard on the 3rd of November 1859 in Chambers County, Alabama. Augusta Ann was the daughter of Smith and Martha Ann Miller Drinkard, she had a twin brother, Augustus. Martin and Augusta moved to Randolph County, Alabama, sometime before 1865. Augusta Ann died on the 21st of January, 1865. They had three children:

Martin Van Buren died on the 30th of August 1909 and Margaret died on the 29th of January 1915. Both are buried in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County, Alabama.

William Thomas Hudson was born 29 Sep 1860 in Chambers County, Alabama, he married in Macon County, Alabama on the 10th December 1882 Margaret Josephine Norton. They had 10 children:

Elizabeth Ann Hudson was born 11 August 1889 in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama, she married 15 Dec 1907 William Manard Williams, son of Jesse and Emaline Williams. Elizabeth died 15 Jun 1980 and is buried in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Stone Mountain, DeKalb County, Georgia. Elizabeth and William's family can be found with Our Williams Family.
