Squires Shoes (Canvas & Leather Chucks)
All of my Squires game pics, show Erving wearing one of the two styles (3 colors) pictured below.
The 3rd photo is from an all-star game, but it's the only color pic of that style I have.
I have B&W Squires game pics that show Erving wearing the leather Chuck Taylors.
I've never seen a photo of Doc wearing lowcuts in a pro game.
Nets Shoes (Adidas Promodels & Converse Dr. J.s)
While with the Nets, Erving wore Adidas or Converse hightops.
I have also seen yellow suede Adidas (not pictured) and white Converse with the single blue star (not pictured).
First Adidas photo has 3 red stripes, while the 2nd shows blue/red/blue.
The oldest Converse poster I have shows Doc in a Nets uniform, so I would assume he was an exclusive
Converse guy, prior to the end of the 75-76 ABA season. Not sure when he hung up the Adidas.
Sixers Shoes (Converse Dr. J.s, Startechs and Final Season Converse)
From 1976-77 thru 1983-84, Erving wore some variation of the Dr. J. that he was wearing when he grabbed his 2nd ABA ring.
You'll see variations in regard to the width of the chevron, ventilation holes, shape of the red upper
portion of the back of the shoes (no logo, then Converse logo), etc.
For the 84-85 season and 85-86 season, Erving switched to the Startech (3rd photo) style.
And for his last season (1986-87), he wore yet another style, which featured a much more prominent DRJ stamp (last photo).
