| Edgar is the son of Elkanah and Mary A. (Barr) Stophel. He grew up in Tennessee and moved to North Carolina around 1920. Edgar changed his name from Charles Valentine Edgar after moving. He married Mamie Lee Moore who lived in Eden, NC. They had 10 children who still live in the North Carolina and Virginia area. |
