Hannah Stoffel Daughter of Heinrich and Philippina Stoffel |
This puzzle piece is another 'find' of Sharon's.(I'm afraid I'm not giving her much help here.) Looney Stophel provided the lead and Sharon has provided the evidence. As for me?....well, I DO bug her a lot..does that count? |

Approximate ages for Jacob Taylor, Hannah and their children are based on listing in the 1850 Sullivan Co TN census. P.S. Anyone want to give Sharon airfare so she can go to TN and check out deeds and other records? |
Based on Sharon's findings, the Taylor family lived next door to Jacob (Owen's brother) and Barbara Stophel in 1850. The close proximity of the two families leads us to believe Hannah was indeed a Stophel. As a further note, Jacob was the grandfather of Looney Stophel who wrote a family history mentioning the double relationship of Emmaline. |
