I'd set it by the sea
A brilliant day lots of sun
And music on the breeze
Romantic bliss in paradise
You walk along the beach
As tropic breezes kiss your lips
And touch your velvet cheeks

If I could paint a scene for you
You'd dine by candlelight
A table set beneath the stars
A full moon shining bright
Soft night winds blowing
Across the sea
Your lover holds you tight
Your heart would sing
Full of joy
A tropical delight

If I could paint a scene for you
I'd take your hearts desire
Your fondest wish
Your truest dream
Your thoughts of paradise
I would paint a masterpiece
Then give it love to you
But until then alas sweetheart
A poem will have to do
