Morning
I love to greet the morning
When all the earth is still
As songbirds reawaken
To soar above the hill
I love the frost that settles
As winter lends her chill
I love the quiet of morning
I do and always will
I love to greet the morning
To view the rising sun
I love the gentle sunbeams
That appear as night is done
The earth that once was silent
Renews itself again
There's no time like the morning
I greet it as a friend
I love to greet the morning
I love the whippoorwill
Who sings and breaks the silence
Beyond the flower mill
I stand and gaze about me
Night shadows are dispelled
Oh how I love the morning
Such words can never tell
I love to greet the morning
For night is full of fear
As darkness seems to smother
To rob the world of cheer
But morning brings the sunlight
A new and hopeful day
I love to greet the morning
To share it's wondrous ways
