Mar 21- Today Kyle & Megan booked thier first hostel. The Three Little Pigs Hostel will host Kyle and Megan for 3 nights in Berlin. The Hostel is just about to open for the first time and Kyle & Megan are excited that they have one place down!
Mar 19- It is done! Kyle and Megan will be going to Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Cork,& London. All of the flight have been made. On March 18 and 19, the final 3 tickets were purchased. The two will be traveling again on Easyjet from Paris to Rome, and to London. And the two will fly roundtrip from London to Cork on RyanAir. The next part of the trip planning is where Kyle and Megan will sleep. And then they are off.
Kristina Schmidt, Kyle's friend from Chicago, also got Megan and Kyle a major discount on thier backpacks. The two bought backpacks made by Northface. They saved close to $100.
Mar 10- Kyle has announced that this year the 2006 Summer Roadtrip Music Series will be avaliable on IPod's. This is a change because the last two years the series has been on CD. No word yet on who will appear on this years series but it is figured that Click Five & Relient K will be the big one's on this years CD.
Feb 28- Paris watch out! Kyle and Megan have purchased thier tickets on EasyJet Airlines. The two will leave Madrid Monday, June 12 during the late afternoon hours and arrive in Spain just about 2 hours later. Only 3 more tickets to go!
Feb 20- Two big stories today. First Kyle and Megan recieved thier first e-mail from a possible homestay host while they are in Europe. The Menezes family from Croydan, outside of London, e-mailed the two telling them about themselves and about thier area. Kyle e-mailed them back and they are now waititng for a responce!
Also in the news today, the next ticket was purchased. Kyle & Megan are now confirmed passangers on Vueling Airlines from Amsterdam to Madrid. This is believed to be the most expensive ticket that the two will have to buy, besides thier flight to and from Europe!
Feb. 17- JanSport was the first major company to reply to Kyle and Megan about sponsoring thier trip. Unfortunatly, JanSport said that they were unable to accomidate the two on the trip, but wish them luck. Kyle wrote several letters to several other comapany's, but no word yet on what thier responces are.
Feb. 14- A new twist this year to the annual roadtrip extraviganza. Usually one of the big highlights of the trip is the annual Roadtrip CD's (more info to come), but this year in addition to that, Kyle and Megan have thier own customized t-shirts. Created by Kyle on www.uberprints.com, you too can make your own shirt. Kyle gave Megan her shirt as a Valentines Day Gift!
Feb. 13- At approximately 9 PM (Arizona Time), Kyle and Megan purchased their first two tickets through Europe. The two are now offically bound for Berlin & Amsterdam. And the cool part about the whole thing, they got a discount. Originally a flight on Ryan Air from London to Berlin was priced at about $61 per person. But Kyle and Megan some how managed to only pay $60 for both of them together. They will also be flying on Transavia Airlines to Amersterdam from Berlin. They are both very excited about the offical booking!
Feb. 9- Kyle & Megan have come out with their schedule of where they will be going. Among the stops, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam (Vreeland), Rome, and just added were Madrid, Spain & Cork, Ireland. They will be gone one day shy of a month, and are looking forward to heading out!
