History: The Military (space forces)

The Space Forces  are widely respected throughout space for both their technological strengths as well as their combat skills. With some of the most powerful weapons and ships at their disposal, the SF many times end up the victor in fights, even being feared by the pirates. Along with their strength in technology, the SF also live by a strict moral set of laws. Considered by most to be the police of space, the Space Forces regularly confiscate and detain suspicious ships and characters. Because of their obviously conflicting natures, outlaws and Space Force members often clash. While the Space Forces might have a technological advantage, their unwillingness to fight dirty binds them from using their full power many times. This makes them easy prey for large numbers of pirates or outlaws. Rarely however, are the SF caught off guard. While the Space Forces might seem to be one large, powerful force, the truth is it isn't. When the Space Forces were first put together, it was because many of the nations colonizing space agreed to do it. However, because of the vast territory to cover, private security companies had to be hired to make up a large part of the SF. This basically makes a large part of the Space Forces nothing but hired body guards, however, they tend to take their jobs just as seriously as any other parts of the SF. As far as the Space Forces development of weaponry and technology goes, they're leading the pack. They've got their fingers working even in genetic engineering. The result is a varied yet organized array of weapons that they have at their disposal.
