Everything was blurry as Susy walked through an unfamiliar digital world. The cavernous room glowed a blinging greenish color. She wandered around clumsily hoping to stumble upon some reason for being here, A booming voice echoed off the walls, making her jump with fear and cover her ears. She fell to the green floor shaking her head furiously. The metal lines that snaked across the top of the floor dug into her skin. "YOU GOT MAIL!" the awful voice boomed, "YOU G-G-G-GOT M-M-M-M-......there was a fading sound and then complete silence. The voice never completed its fake cries of enthusiasm. "Mail." Susy mumbled as she stood up. She looked past her bruised knees to the floor to see that slowly but surely it was melting away. She gasped and looked around desperately for stable ground. What looked like lightning danced across the walls and the whole gigantic room began to flash, fade , and melt away. There was a loud pop and everything went dark. Susy woke up quickly. Cold sweat trickled down her cheeks and forehead.Frantically s, she felt her surroundings. After assuring herself that she waws safe in her room, she turned on her light and srood up dizzily. "A bath", she said to herself as she staggered out the door towards the bathroom. "A bath will make me feel better." As she reached the family room she slowed nearly to a stop. The faint glow of the computer made her nervous. Her pace quickened as she passed it. Once in the bathroom, she started running water and dropped her clothes to the foor. After she'd been soaking for a while,Susy heard a faint growling sound. She thought about looking out the window for the source but decided against it. Who or whatever made the sound was inside the room. All she could see was some shampoo bottles, a bar of sop, and an old rubber ducky. But....the ducky.....There was something suspicious about it. The growl came again. Susy stared at the ducky. Suddenly she realized the difference. It had teeth! "Bathtub toys shouldn't have teeth." shesaid accusingly. Somehow the rubber beak twitched then moved, revealing more of the awful grin. A high pitched squeak pierced the air and The Ducky flew at her. Susy turned her head quickly, dodging rubbery death. The Ducky latched its teeth into her hair. Susy ripped it from her hair, stood up, and flung it out the window. She dressed quickly and ran to wake her mom. Once awake, her mother tried to convince her that it had al been some strange dream. After all, bathtub toys don't have teeth and their own. Or.....do they? Susy was convinced that it had happened and The Ducky was nowhere to be found.
