In 2007, our unit was able to welcome 6 new members. Our unit is growing and we would like to see it continue. If you are interested in the history of the American Civil War and the life during this time, please consider our group. Our unit has 4 goals that we strive to accomplish at each event. Our first goal is to educate the public about the history of the American Civil War, civilian life and the American Civil War regiment known as the 21st Ohio Volunteer Infantry in particular. The second goal is to promote interest in the American Civil War in general and the 21st Ohio Volunteer Civilian Corp through the authentic reenacting of the lifestyles and events of the American Civil War period. The third goal is to promote the preservation of historic artifacts and sites of the American Civil War. The fourth and final goal is to build camaraderie among the members of the 21st OVCC and the 21st OVI.
