A native of Skye, a well known 'hotbed', Heather MacPherson grew up in a proud and prominent Skye family. She began her career in the prestigious Sanglamore Academy on Skye. Entering the AFFC Heather chose to serve with the 17th Skye Rangers.
A once proud unit, the 17th Skye had fallen on hard times and found itself neglected by the powers-that-be. Serving her term of service with distinction, Heather was disgusted at the state of her unit and sought out a well known and proud mercenary unit to hook up with.
On a trip to Solaris, she was impressed by the performance of a female Blackhawk member in the arenas. Her interest piqued, Heather signed on. Her combat skill quickly earned her a slot among the Iron Maidens.
