MY ROUTINE  (updated 7-1-03)
BACK TO THE BASICS:
EVERYDAY STYLING

I realized that no matter what products  I try, I ultimately go back to my tried and true staples. I decided that it was best for my hair (and for my pockets) ;O) to stick with what works. What works also happens to be affordable too.

I rinse each day with Suave Naturals Cond.

-Tropical Coconut
-Aloe Vera
(.99-1.29)

I then style my hair with

-Proclaim Curl Activator w/aloe vera
-Proclaim Natural 7 Oil
(1.99-2.99 each)

ROUTINE:
After I rinse my hair in the shower, I towel dry. While hair is damp, I add Proclaim Curl  Activator in sections until equally disseminated. Next, I apply Natural 7 Oil to the back and middle sections. Then I diffuse or air dry and style.

ROUTINE:
After I wash, condition and detangle my hair, I spritz with Daily Doctor . I then add melted shea butter OR BnS in sections, twisting or braiding as I go. For twist/braid outs, I unravel in the morning and wear out or style.
I also spritz with Daily Doctor to redo my twist/braid outs at night.

-Pony puffs

For the styles above I can alternate between Shea Butter, Proclaim Activator Gel or Black N Sassy Creamy Set.
RITUALS
Beneficial & Pampering Treatments.

WASHING & DETANGLING (DONE WEEKLY)

I use
Suave Professional Humectant to wash my hair once a week. (or whenever it is feeling dull). To detangle, I use Lustrasilk  Cholesteral Creme Conditioner Super Detangling Formula* with Aloe Vera. After I apply this, the brush glides through my hair.

DEEP CONDITIONING (DONE BI-MONTHLY)
I use
Lustrasilk Herbal Cholesteral Deep Conditioning Cream* with Carrot Oil, Keratin, Rosemary, Sage under the hooded dryer for 20 minutes.

STEAM CONDITIONING (DONE OCCASIONALLY )
On the occasions that I visit the steam room whether at the gym or at the spa, I coat my hair with
Lustrasilk Tea Tree Cholesteral Conditioner* and plait my hair  in about 12 twists. The aroma of the tea tree mixed with the steam is therapeutic. Plus you get a great deep conditioning treatment at the same time.

* All of the above conditioners contain mineral oil
