"Damned Ministers...By Marilyn Oliver"

I will never understand the thinking of some preachers today. How can they sit in the pulpit, and tell folks about the love of God, and then never do a thing they tell us we must do to get into the gates of heaven ?

There is one of the local preachers here in our town that will go to heaven for sure. But then, isn't that what folks said of Waco, and the Heaven's Gate clan ?

And what about Jim Jones, and David Koresh ? Aren't they in heaven with them too ? Let's not forget about Hitler, after all, he was a mail-order minister too.

Why won't people stop listening to these so-called "Men of God" and just read the Bible ? After all, everything you need to know about how to get into heaven is in the Bible.

Who in the Bible demands the love from the people of the world ? Who is it that deserves it more than anyone else ? GOD.

I heard a minister say that HE demands COMPLETE loyalty, and will not tolerate anyone going to any other church.

He even went so far as to say that church members shouldn't hang around with sinners.

WHAT IF JESUS THOUGHT LIKE THAT ?

Jesus sat with sinners every day of His Ministry. And He was rewarded for it by the wealth of love He gave them, and they returned to Him. What is the single most important command Jesus related to us ? To love one another, as God loves them, correct ?

Jn. 13:34- " A new commandment I give to you, that you LOVE ONE ANOTHER; even as I have loved you, that you also LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

Jn. 15:12- "This is my commandment, that you LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as I have also loved you."

Jn. 15:17- "This I command you, to LOVE ONE ANOTHER".

Rom. 12:10- "Owe no man anything, except to LOVE ONE ANOTHER; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."

1 Thess. 4:9- "But concerning the love of the brethren, you have no need to have anyone write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

1 Pet. 1:22- "Having purified your souls by the obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, LOVE ONE ANOTHER earnestly from the heart."

1 Jn. 3:11- " For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

1 Jn. 3:23- "And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, just as He
has commanded us."

1 Jn. 4:7- "Beloved, let us LOVE ONE ANOTHER; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God, and knows God."

He repeated that several times, and still some people haven't gotten it yet.

I also heard a preacher say that there are two sides to every story, and he won't make a judgment until he has heard both sides. I know that was a lie from the word go.

Because I know of a case involving this same minister, where he charged, tried, convicted, and executed a woman before she even knew anything was going on.

He then kicked her out of the church, told her she was insane, had a lustful spirit, called her a whore, and someone named Margaret Olson.

Matt. 7:1,2- "Judge not, that you be not judged". For with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and the measure you give, will be the measure you get."

Judgment is supposed to be God's, and God's alone. So where does this minister get off judging anyone?

Something I have noticed more and more. Most of the preachers that are Pentecostal aren't exactly Christians themselves.

It seems to me that they have the notion of DO AS I SAY DO, NOT AS I DO.

In this world, there are many religions, but what I have found is, one thing they all have in common, and that is, GOD, the Alpha and the Omega, the supreme being of all things, even Pentecostal
Ministers.
