Why I believe the Bible

There are many reasons I believe the Bible. First one and I guess would be the most

important one to me is, it tells us where we came from, and where we are going. The love

it took to create us in the beginning, and the love it takes to keep putting up with us. The

Bible is not just a history book, or a book of miracles. It’s a how to book. You know the

kind, books that tell you how to properly do things the right way, the first time. Because

we only get one chance at this, the Bible tells us the step by step instructions.

The Bible is more than a book to me, it is my family history. All the way back, to my first grand-pa and my first grand-ma. It is my family picture album. It holds the description of my home land. The description of my future home. It tells me the story of my father in heaven, and the life story of my Lord Jesus Christ. It tells me what to expect from The Lord, and tells me what He expects from me.

The Bible is unlike every other book ever written. If you read it closely, you can feel the joy The Lord felt when he created us, and the sadness when he caused the flood that

destroyed us. All that is, except Noah. And, his family.

Why I believe the Bible? Because the Bible, makes sense to me. When I am reading the Bible, I can put myself there with them. I see and feel the things the author is talking

about. I don’t read verses in the Bible, I read stories. I read about Jonah and the fish. I

read about how smart Solomon was. I read the story of the twin cities destroyed because

of sin.  I read the story of the tower and how it cause a division among the people. There

are so many stories in the Bible that no one novel could capture them all, not like it is in

the Bible.

The Bible lets us know what will happen to us if don’t obey Gods law and what he will give to us if we do.  The Bible is believable because how else could all this we have in

this world be possible without God. The Bible says “In the beginning God created the

heavens and the earth” Gen:1 – 1 .

A preacher I know said one time, that the Bible is simply, “Basic Instructions Before

Leaving Earth.” Without the Bible we would never know how to be with God again. I

have this saying, “I believe every word in the Bible, if its not in the Bible then its not

true.”

Some folks say the universe started with a “Big Bang,” ok I’ll give you that. But who

started the banging?

The Bible is creditable and sustained there is no other book that can give you all the

information that you need to live out your life and then live for eternally in heaven. The Bible is felt in your heart, in your soul, for those who believe in the Bible no

explanation in necessary. For those who don’t, no explanation is possible.
