From Angels to Drugs

Angels spread their wings to protect us from the evils of the world. But man will run from the shelter straight into danger. I watch as one man who knows the Lord and hears his Blessed Words. But ignores the words for a hit and a high.

I hear him tell about the Bible and I can see what he says. But let someone say lets go and get some dope, and off he goes to get the fake high. And he spends all the money he can get his hands on to get it. To the point of either it is food or is it crack. The crack wins hands down.

Crack seems to be the drug of the day, and it is the most lethal at that. Most people that try it just once end up hooked on it. The drugies call it rocks. It looks like a large grain of salt. And the smell it leaves behind resembles that of rotting flesh. Not very strong but you can smell it on the people that smoke it.

Pot used to be the choice of the people but I guess that it wasn’t deadly enough. People will kill to get it, steal to get it, lie to get it. There isn’t anything a drug addict won’t do to get it.

The drug dealer doesn’t care if you get it or not. The only thing they care about is the money. If you keep buying it they’ll keep selling it. If you quit, then they will find someone else to buy. The demand is bigger than the supply so the dealers will have no problem in selling their poison.

Most drug dealers don’t use the drug themselves, they have better sence than that, they depend on the stupid people who can’t and won’t say NO.

I set by the window and I see the drug deals on the street. I wonder why the police don’t do something about it. It is there right in front of them but they don’t seem to see it.

A friend of mine is hooked, but he doesn’t think so. He thinks he can quit anytime he wants to. He is deluding himself. Time will tell, if he lives long enough.
