| This is probably one of the most important (and tedious in my case) steps before you go! You'll have to get a school approval form signed by a school official, fill out paperwork to take a semmester/quarter off and haggle with academic advisors for school credit. I'm going to be able to get credit towards my education minor by taking the experiemental learning course, but I had to promise to bring my advisor back a toy and will have a mountain of paperwork to fill out when I get back! Each school is different, my advice is if you want credit take in as much information as you can (I printed out the course syllabus off the official website) and make a good argument for why you should get credit!
