Tokyo Nights

Flashing lights all around, statues growing from the ground, gambler's
luck fills the air like a carnival sound
Everything was okay, something's wrong here today
There's a shadow somewhere growing within...
I don't know what's going on but I know there is some kind of stranger
Tell me, does the spirit live? Is it calling me to come back here?

Tokyo Nights
Freedom dies tonight
Let the spirit take your soul, leaving you hopeless
Leaving you lonely
Tokyo Nights
Love is hard to find
Maybe luck will be good to you but you're still young and
You've had enough

Open the window wide, stare at the sun and sky
Take the time just to see all that life's giving you
I know sometimes it's hard to try and see the new
But when it's right in front of you...
I don't know what's going on but I know there is some kind of danger
Tell me, does the spirit live? Is it calling you to come back here?

Tokyo Nights
Since the first time
I've always had a fear of you
Would you go slowly? Shadows grow darker
Tokyo Nights
Baby what's my price?
I want to go back as much as you but
it's eating you slowly, eating you slowly

Sleepless nights, I deam, I cry
I now know where my freedom is
Calling me back, memory lies in my
Lonely eyes
Can't you see them cry?
I want to go back as much as you but
it's eating me slowly, devouring wholly

I want to hide from the fearful beasts
Like a child from winter's keep
All alone without someone, who will wake them from their sleep
The moon hasn't obeyed my call
I'm afraid I've lost it all
Just like my mother calls to me,
"Come back to the city..."

Tokyo Nights...

Lulu's Thoughts:
This song is about two people, friends I guess, who go to Tokyo and get stuck gambling all their possessions away. One of them has nothing left and is terribly addicted to gambling. The person who is singing, the other friend, knows something's terribly wrong and really wants to leave.
