| A traditional type of flat bottomed fishing boat, used in the Zuider Zee and coastal waters. These types of boats were adapted to suit particular kinds of catch. Small holes in the hull indicate the free flooding fishwell used for keeping the catch alive. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Nowadays many Dutch boats are still built on general Botter lines. Some of the old Botters are being restored. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
