Review - Leesa Gentz “It
Ain’t a Party/Better Off Broken”
With a look combining Abi Tucker with Gina Jeffreys and
a sound to compare to many a US country chart-topper, Leesa Gentz is proving
that Australian country talent starts just as early as some of her overseas
peers! It even runs in her family, with (not much) older sis Kirsty
earning a guernsey on the 1996 “Brand New
Country” compilation.
At 16, Leesa can rock it up (It Ain’t a Party) just as well as she
can hold the tempo back (Better Off
Broken) although one so young should not know the pain of which she so
capably sings!
A name and talent to rival the family Kernaghan,
the family Gentz certainly has a lot on promise: let’s hope Leesa
can write half as well as she can sing! ««««
