Ahh, the Perry County Fair. Held in Podunk, Pennsylvania (actually, it's Newport)... it's the time of the year where the toothless yocals polish up their dentures, sew patches on their overalls, and spit shine their shoes. It's THE social affair for the DNA challenged featuring goats (both pets and spouses), milking stations, and the hallowed Parade of Tractors. And what would a County Fair in Pennsylvania be without the funnel cake. This year's featured events include a milk mustache contest and a pseudo lion show, ala Siegfreid and Roy. Surprisingly missing this year though was the famous kissing cousin booth. |
