Commission Information

Commissioned portrait work is welcomed, whether it be an adult, child, or favorite pet. A one of a kind original piece of art can make a thoughtful and ideal gift.

Price depends on size, complexity, and medium, so to give you an idea of the process involved, heres an example of a typical commission. Say I'm contacted (see my contact info below) by Clint Eastwood to do his portrait (hey, this is an example). He has a favorite headshot photo that he would like me to use. We discuss the fact that he prefers black and white, so I'll be doing it in pencil. He isn't sure what size he wants the piece, other than it needs to go on his 10 x 10 foot solid oak desk. So I suggest it be 8x10 inches, that will leave him plenty of room for when he's counting his money, and the art will fit a standard size frame. I now have a size (8x10"), medium (pencil), and idea of what the photo looks like (simple headshot). I can now give him my price, which in this case is 110 U.S. dollars. Payment arrangement is 50 percent upon commission, and 50 percent on completion. The time frame in this case is about 2-3 weeks for me to finish the art. Finally the artwork and his original photo are delivered back to him (if thru the mail, he pays for proper postage and insurance) You can see the results below, along with a few other samples.
