TEACHING EXPERIENCE Fall 2003: East Islip High School Student Teacher Islip Terrace, NY Plans, instructs, and assesses all lessons for three ninth grade and three twelfth grade regents-level classes. Completes two full units (The Odyssey and Ordinary People) with specific learning goals based on state standards. Implements various instructional techniques including cooperative learning, audio visual learning, library research, presentations, and performances. Designs critical thinking and listening exercises, original web-quests, creative writing projects, artistic activities, and journal writing assignments. Creates, teaches and grades four major essays based upon New York State English Regents tasks one through four. Researches and monitors hundreds of active court cases; reports all decisions rendered. Summers 1994-2000: Taylor Rental Crew Chief Hauppauge, NY Coordinates the delivery and installation of party rental equipment for homeowners and catered events. Supervises and trains a staff as large as ten. |
