![]() LeadersOur Pack is led by a Cubmaster and an Assistant Cubmaster, and each Den has one leader and at least one assistant leader. These people and other volunteers comprise the Pack Committee whose purpose is to guide the Pack and prepare for Pack Meetings. Parents are encouraged to participate in any of these positions. Cub Scouting requires family support, and by volunteering to help out at a Pack Meeting or in another position, you reinforce your belief in and support of your own child as well as the Boy Scouts of America organization. pack160ames@yahoo.com. ![]() MeetingsMonthly Planning Meetings are held on the Sunday after the Pack meeting at 8:00 p.m. All adult leaders are encouraged to attend and every parent is welcome. We use this meeting to evaluate recent Pack events and plan for upcoming events. So, if you have ideas or suggestions, please come or send them to the meeting with one of the leaders. ![]() RoundtableRoundtables are held the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1517 Northwestern, Ames. Leaders from the entire District gather to exchange ideas and to hear announcements. Pack 160 Leaders are encouraged to attend roundtables. Parents are welcome. ![]() FinancialPack 160 participates in the annual fundraiser of selling popcorn that is sponsored by the Council in the Fall. The profits from each boy's sales are applied to his annual registration and part of the balance (if there is any) is held in his camp account. Camp account money can be applied to any Council, District, or Pack sponsored camping event and is not refundable. It may be transfered to a Troop after graduation from the Pack. ![]() Pinewood DerbyThe Pinewood Derby is scheduled for the January Pack Meeting each year. The Pinewood Derby car kit is given as a gift from the Pack to each registered Cub Scout at the December Pack Meeting. ![]() Blue and GoldThe February Pack Meeting is the Blue and Gold Banquet and is hosted by the Webelos II Den families with the support of the Webelos I Den families. This is a pot luck meal and is followed by entertainment provided by each of the Dens. ![]() Other Special EventsThe highlight of the March Pack Meeting is the Graduation/Crossover ceremony for the Webelos II Den. ![]() PolicyPack 160 supports the BSA policy that prohibits the use of alcohol and tobacco products at any activity involving participation of youth members.
