| The Cubscout Program continues over Summer vacation. By participating in one activity during each month of June, July and August, your Scout can earn the Summertime Award Pin. If your den has 50% or more of the boys attend each activity, your den will also earn a Den Ribbon. We still need families to plan and organize an activity for the Pack to participate. They can be as easy as a get together at the Swap Shop Drive-In, a Marlins Game, meeting at Dagger Wing for a lecture, nature walk or Clean-up. It can be a tour through a Police or Fire Station, or local business. Miss Lorraine has once again organized our third activity, which will also help complete the Conservation Award. The Pack will clean up around the Boardwalk of the Dagger Wing Nature Center located in South County Regional Park. A Clean-up Safety Briefing will begin at 8:45 AM, where we will be given garbage bags and work gloves. Clean-up should start at 9:00 AM and last an hour or two. Everyone must wear LONG PANTS and STURDY CLOSED-TOE SHOES. Scouts should wear their CUBSCOUT UNIFORM SHIRT. Also, INSECT REPELLANT and SUN BLOCK is recommended. See you there! |
