The story follows Dante, the son of the legendary dark knight Sparda. (Basically Sparda was this demonguy who rebelled against the devil, defeated/imprisoned him and saved humankind. Sparda then lives out his days among the common folk and leaves behind a human wife, a superhuman baby boy and a huge legacy to live up to.) Dante meets this chick who tells him the devil is attempting to rise up and she needs his help to stop him. (she stabs him in the chest with his own sword before explaining this, which has a high shock value(or it would have before you read this)and is alittle funny.) Dante goes to fight evil and must solve puzzles and hack, slash, shoot, or knaw hisway through naughty demonic creatures. The control is so-so, camera angles can get a little annoying, but it can be fun to wear out your thumb shooting through possesed ragdolls and gutting giant spiders. If you like Resident Evil games then check it out. All in all not a bad game, especially now that it's on the greatest hits list. Look for the sequel this winter. |
