What a wonderful day for Fr. Ruedisueli!
The plan for a celebration started two months ago by his long time friend Carole Balcerzak. She gathered a group of friends and put together this remembrance of
Frs' 35th Anniversary of Ordination.
The day began with the 11 A.M
Eucharistic Liturgy at St. Mark Parish.
His family was invited to join him as well as college classmates and friends to attend the Liturgy. One of the classmates flew in from Los Angeles to be present.
During the Homily, Fr thanked his parents, who could not attend, but were celebrating their 68th Anniversary this very day, as well as all who participated
in preparing this event for him.
Deacon spoke a few kind words to Fr., and read a letter from the Arch Diocese, from Cardinal Maida.
The parishioners were included by an open
invitation to attend the dinner and also
to cook their favorite dish for the potluck.
After the Liturgy everyone greeted Fr.
and moved on to the pot luck buffet.
The buffet was held at the
Fr. Walter Stanievich Social Hall on parish grounds.
The Marriage Ministry graciously set up
the wonderful buffet dinner.
There was wonderful music played during dinner .
A memorabelia table was set up with a guest book and pictures and articles of Frs life trip.
Fr. was given a folder with "Fr.Bob" stories from some of his friends, and staff members.
A beautiful cake in honor of the occasion was made by
a generous parishioner.
There were stuffed cabbages, chicken, ham, meatballs, salads, all kinds of wonderful foods for his family, friends and parishioners to devour.
Pictures were snapped, and a video was taken for his memories, even his " Sammy & Ava paid a visit.

Here are some facts about Fr. Ruedisueli's life
since he was ordained:

Graduate of St.John's Provincial Seminary
First Mass offered at St. Isaac Joges-St.Clair Shores
What a wonderful list of assignments he has had.
He became pastor at St Mark Parish in 1991.
Fr. Ruedisueli placed focus on liturgy and
lay ministry and expanded ministrerial areas
soon after he became Pastor at St. Mark Parish.

In 1992 he celebrated the 50th Anniversary of St. Mark as a parish, which was highlighted by the consecration of the first permanent alter by Archbishop Maida on June 28.
He orchistrated a parish Mission Statement which was proclaimed on Pentecost Sunday, May 30,1993 and reflects all of the works of the parish before and in the future.

Fr. saw a need for change and in 1995. The rectory and convent were sold, a parish house was purchased,and classroom renovated,the library updated,new offices created, and the Rev.Walter Stanievich
Hall was remodeled by end of 1998.
He was awarded a fellowship to the Vatican.
Fr. has organized and participated in
two trips to the Rome with parishioners.
In the immediate future,
Fr. Ruedisueli is at the center of more changes
at St.Mark Parish,
which will be a testament to Fr. Bob's
vision for the future of the Parish
as well as his legacy to the Parish.
