Traveling to China
Our trip to China will take us to several cities across the country.  Here is our tentative itenerary:

Feb 8th - Arrive in Beijing.  We'll spend a few days here getting used to the time change and doing some sightseeing.

Feb 11th - Fly from Beijing to Changsha.  We'll settle into our hotel and be united with Leah!  All of the babies from the orphanages in Hunan will be brought to our hotel to be united with their parents.  Depending on our arrival time in Changsha, we'll go to the Civil Affairs office to finalize the adoption.  If this doesn't happen on the 11th, then we'll go on the 12th.  We'll also get Leah's passport while we're in Changsha...we can't leave the province until we have this.

Feb 15th - Fly from Changsha to Guangzhou.  During our stay in Guangzhou we'll do some shopping, take Leah for her medical exam (Feb 17th), and go to our Consulate appointment where we'll take our oath to promise to care for Leah.  Then we just need to pick up Leah's visa so that she can enter the US.

Feb 20th - Fly from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.  Due to the timing of our flights home, it was necessary for us to go to Hong Kong the day before.  Due to our travel visas, we cannot spend more than 24 hours in Hong Kong, so I imagine we'll arrive here some time during the afternoon.  While I'd like to see some of the city, I have a feeling we'll be much too tired!

Feb 21st - Fly from Hong Kong to Tokyo to Detroit to Raleigh!  Our flights begin at 8:45 am and as soon as we land in Detroit and get processed through INS, Leah will be a US citizen.  We'll arrive in Raleigh at 3:23pm and it will be wonderful to be home!
